Couscous is a Moroccan dish made from small steamed balls of semolina flour. Here's a simple recipe for cooking couscous:
Couscous Ingredients:
- 2 cups of water
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups of couscous
Couscous Instructions:
- Bring the water, salt, and oil to a boil in a saucepan.
- Add the couscous to the boiling water, stirring constantly.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and cover it with a lid. Let it stand for 5-10 minutes until the couscous has absorbed all the liquid.
- Use a fork to fluff the couscous and separate the grains.
- Serve the couscous hot, either as a side dish or as a base for a main dish such as a stew or vegetables.
- You can also add spices, herbs, or vegetables to the couscous for added flavor.
